A Little History – Haglund’s Deformity

Bone spur on the Achilles Tendon.  Scarring developed over the last 6 years making it painful and difficult to walk.  At the time it started, surgery was a last resort – well the last resort has happened.
The Surgery – detach the Achilles from the bone, remove the scarring, reattach the Achilles with posts back to the bone.  90 minute procedure – sounds simple right!
The Recovery – 6 weeks Non-Weight Bearing; 6 weeks physio; 6 months total recovery.  And no, the 6-6-6 coincidence did not go unnoticed.  Only the Devil could possibly think up this recovery.

Do you need any books to read? Can I suggest any games to play?

You ARE going to rest... Right? No work?

    1. Hi Peter, Tbanks for the offer. I stocked up before the surgery.

Rest - no real choice to do anything else :)

      Take care
